4. Legal bases for processing
Where applicable law requires, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, your consent (which you may withdraw), and compliance with legal obligations.
5. Cookies and tracking
We use essential cookies to run the Service (for example, to keep you signed in), functional cookies to remember your preferences, and analytics cookies to understand usage. Where local law permits, continued use of the Service constitutes consent to cookies. You may control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may impair core functionality.
6. How we share information
We may share information with:
- Service providers that support the Service — hosting, authentication, payments, email delivery, customer support, analytics, and security — under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal and regulatory authorities where we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or is necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.
- Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our assets.
- Aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you may be shared for any lawful purpose.
We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration.
7. International data transfers
The Service is operated globally. Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your own, including jurisdictions whose data protection laws may differ from those where you reside. By using the Service you consent to such cross-border transfers.
8. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as is necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business, legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes. After deletion, residual copies may persist in backups and log systems for a limited period before being overwritten in the normal course of operations.
9. Security
We apply commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
10. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. Requests can be submitted through our contact page. We may verify your identity before responding and may decline requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or that would infringe the rights of others, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Children
The Service is intended for licensed or aspiring medical professionals and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it and terminate any related account.
12. Third-party links and services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, tools, or content. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or accuracy of any third party and encourage you to review their policies before providing any information.
13. Educational disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MedQgulf, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service or the processing of your information — whether based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory, and regardless of whether we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to MedQgulf in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MedQgulf and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of this Policy or our Terms, or your infringement of any right of any third party.
16. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may be notified through the Service or by email at our discretion. Your continued use of the Service after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
